CTYP is happy to offer workshops to school groups with our talented Drama School Instructors!

Custom-build a program of drama activities for your group of up to 35 participants, at our Granville Island professional studios OR at your location. Drama Workshops are available for all school grades. For school groups coming to see one of Carousel Theatre’s School Matinee Performances, pairing your visit with a workshop for your class is a great way to help students get the most from their theatrical experience!

Prior workshops have included:

• Drama workshop on the themes and theatrical style of a CTYP show! Can be done before or after attending a school matinee show (1-2 hours)
• Ensemble building and improvisation (1.5-4 hours)
• Unique prop manipulation and exploration (1-2 hours)
• Introduction to drama games for youth (1-2 hours)
• Introduction to storytelling and character development (1.5-4 hrs)
• Introduction to performing Shakespeare for a school group (1.5-2hrs)
• And more!

PRICING:

We can accommodate groups of up to 35 student participants.

• First hour is $200 ($210.00 w/ GST)
• Each subsequent ½ hour is $75 ($78.75 w/ GST)

An instructor travel fee will apply for off-site workshop locations over 20 km from Granville Island. Please inquire further for a travel quote.
